The Pageant International Film Festival, based in the picturesque town of Gangtok, Sikkim, is a celebration of independent cinema from around the world. With its mission to provide a platform for creators to showcase their talents, this festival has become a beacon for storytelling and artistic expression. Its monthly format allows independent filmmakers like myself to gain timely recognition and reach audiences eager to explore unique narratives and visions.

Whispers: Waves of the Diary is an experimental short film essay that encapsulates the serene beauty of Whitstable. Through stunning visuals of sunsets, the bustling town centre, and the calm movements of yachts, the film explores the timeless essence of this coastal town. Complemented by evocative music and an intimate narration, it is a journey that resonates deeply with viewers and invites them to experience Whitstable in a new light.

Being recognised in both the Best Experimental Film and Best Director categories is not just an honour, but a validation of the creative risks and hard work that went into this project. The festival’s commitment to watching every submission with passion and professional interest reflects its dedication to supporting filmmakers who dare to push boundaries.
