I’m thrilled to announce that my experimental short film Whispers: Waves of the Diary has been officially selected for the prestigious Elegant International Film Festival! This recognition is an incredible honour, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to showcase my work alongside some of the most talented independent filmmakers from around the world.
For those who may not be familiar with the festival, the Elegant International Film Festival is an IMDb Qualifying event that celebrates the art of independent cinema. It highlights the best in emerging global talent and brings together passionate audiences, filmmakers, and industry professionals. The festival’s engaging programme is filled with film screenings, Q&A sessions, workshops, and networking events, creating an enriching experience for all attendees.
I am particularly proud to have Whispers: Waves of the Diary selected, as this festival is known for championing unique, inspiring storytelling—qualities that my film embodies. In just over three minutes, Whispers: Waves of the Diary takes audiences on a visually captivating journey through the charming town of Whitstable. The film captures the town’s tranquil sunsets, bustling town centre, and rich maritime heritage. It’s an intimate portrait, drawing on cinematic techniques such as framing, composition, and camera movements, all enhanced by the evocative music of AudioCoffee.
This selection is a significant milestone for me as a filmmaker, and I’m excited to share my vision and the beauty of Whitstable with the world. The festival offers a fantastic platform to not only showcase my work but also engage with a broader community of film lovers and creators.
