This term, I embarked on a journey into the heart of filmmaking and television drama through a module focused on the foundational element: the script. We explored the screenwriter’s craft, learning how to transform ideas into compelling narratives that translate seamlessly from page to screen.

The module provided a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practice of screenwriting, covering key concepts such as:
- The Unique Nature of Screenwriting: We examined what sets screenwriting apart from other forms of creative writing, focusing on its visual and auditory dimensions and its collaborative nature.
- Script Format and Structure: We delved into the specific format and conventions of screenplays, understanding their role as both creative blueprints and technical instructions.
