Honoured to Receive an Honourable Mention at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival (AIMAFF) for Whispers: Waves of the Diary!

I’m thrilled to announce that Whispers: Waves of the Diary has received an Honourable Mention at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival (AIMAFF)! This recognition is incredibly meaningful to me, and I am deeply honoured to be part of such a prestigious festival.

AIMAFF is one of the most highly regarded film festivals globally, celebrated for its commitment to independent filmmaking and its impressive annual screenings. With a motto that resonates deeply with me, “By Creators for Creators,” AIMAFF is dedicated to recognising and celebrating the voices of filmmakers, from emerging talent to established creators.

What makes AIMAFF particularly unique is its monthly festival structure, offering filmmakers timely recognition and exposure. Each month, winning films are chosen and go on to compete for the Best Film of the Year title. The festival’s emphasis on providing a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their work allows for greater visibility in a community that truly understands the struggles and triumphs of working outside mainstream film circuits. With its IMDb verification and a history of screening films that have gone on to be showcased at major festivals like Cannes, Sundance, Tribeca, and even the Academy Awards, AIMAFF remains an essential fixture for independent cinema.

Whispers: Waves of the Diary is an experimental short film that explores the beauty and history of Whitstable, a coastal town steeped in maritime tradition. The film blends innovative cinematic techniques, visual metaphors, and the evocative sounds of AudioCoffee’s music to portray Whitstable’s peaceful sunsets, vibrant town centre, and graceful yachts. The narrative is further enriched by a poetic narration, inviting viewers into a personal and immersive journey through the town’s serene atmosphere.

Being honoured by AIMAFF is a tremendous validation of the effort and passion that went into creating this film. The recognition from such a highly regarded festival for independent filmmakers is incredibly rewarding, and I extend my sincere thanks to the judges and organisers for making this moment possible.

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of my talented crew, friends, and audience. Your belief in Whispers: Waves of the Diary has been invaluable in bringing this vision to life, and I’m so grateful to share this recognition with all of you.

Thank you once again, and stay tuned for more updates as I continue this journey. Your support truly means the world to me.
